We set off for Glen Nevis under the the highest peak of the Islands – Ben Nevis. The meadows here have played a set for numerous movies from Braveheart to Harry Potter.
And since already Harry Potter has been mentioned – we do have to stop to see the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct wchich crosses a valley forming an amazing arch. And when time is right – the steam engine powered train puffs onto it.
We ride north through Highlands – stopping in to take random sights
Untill we arrive at silver beaches of Morar
Then onto a ferry to the Isle of Skye – which will be our base of operations for next few days.
And finally we are there – at the strange, almost mythical – Island of Skye.
